Brian & Jennifer Lasseter

I have been staying with Brian and Jennifer Lasseter for the past 2 months. Brian picked me up at the Austin airport.

I went through culture shock.

Jennifer works for TCEQ, the Texas government agency for environmental control. She and Brian have initiated several projects to reduce their environmental footprint. They grocery shop with reusable bags, Brian is converting a car to all electric (photos below - this has been a fun project too help out on), and they separate all of their organic kitchen waste out into a compost pile out back.

Here Brian and Jennifer are flipping on the switch for their solar panels for the first time.

Here is my new car. It is a stick shift - according to Brian that means it is a candidate for an electric car conversion.
